Miniature Poodle "Sage'' Win Best in Show | Westminster 2024 | Winner
🐩Sage, a miniature poodle from Houston, was crowned Best in Show at the 148th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, held at Arthur Ashe Stadium. This marked a triumphant farewell for her handler, Kaz Hosaka, who retired after 45 years of competing. Sage bested over 2,500 dogs from 213 breeds and won against six other finalists, including a German shepherd, a cocker spaniel, and an Afghan hound.
🥇Hosaka, emotional after the win, reflected on his journey, which began in 1979 when he moved to the U.S. from Japan. This was his second Best in Show win, the first occurring in 2002 with Sage's great-grandmother. Now retired, both Hosaka and Sage will embrace a more relaxed life, leaving behind the demands of competition.
